Shehani completed her Bachelor of Dental Science in Sri Lanka in 2014 where she voluntarily worked in the war-torn areas of the country for 3 years. This experience has taught her to treat her patients gently and be empathetic to their circumstances and needs outside of dental health.
She moved to Melbourne in 2018 where she underwent clinical training at Royal Dental Hospital Melbourne and passed her Australian Dental Council exams in 2019. Since then she has worked at Central Gippsland Health and Yarra Junction. Shehani enjoys working in all aspects of dentistry and has a particular interest in preventative care and family dentistry. She delights in spending time with patients to promote oral health and provide personalised dental care to ensure the best long term health outcomes. She has a gentle chair-side manner and endless patience, which helps patients to feel at ease.
Outside of work, she enjoys going on road trips with her family and also loves photography. She is currently attempting to learn the guitar.
